In March 2016 LISA invited Victoria Bendall from CEFAS

In March 2016 LISA invited Victoria Bendall from CEFAS to do a presentation on their Bass Tagging Scheme and it's findings. From discussions during that meeting we agreed that we would conduct a survey to establish a real picture of shore caught Bass by our members. Some of they key aims of the survey are to understand the survival success of different year classes and to map their distribution, it is hoped that important patterns will be identified by doing this. So far over 350 Bass captures have been recorded.

An overview of the 2016 survey will be made available here in January 2017 while a more comprehensive survey takes place during 2017.
